MULTIPURPOSE SPORTS HALLS
The IOI 2020 competition will be held in the Multipurpose Sports Halls (MPSH) located near the University Sports Centre (pictured above). The main competition arena is at MPSH 2 on the second floor, while most of the General Assembly (GA) meetings for team leaders and committee members will be held at MPSH 1 on the first floor.
Opened in 2017, the three-storey University Sports Centre (USC) building houses two Olympic-sized swimming pools, an indoor sports hall, squash courts, and a fitness and conditioning lab to cater for sporting activities.
UNIVERSITY CULTURAL CENTRE
IOI 2020’s opening and closing ceremonies will be conducted in the University Cultural Centre (UCC)’s Hall. UCC is located near the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum and the Yong Siew Tong Conservatory of Music.
Recently revamped in 2018, UCC houses a 1,700-seater hall and a mid-sized theatre with over 400 seats. The venue has been used for the university’s annual graduation ceremonies, art performances, and state ceremonies.
NUS UTOWN RESIDENTIAL COLLEGES
Designed for a vibrant campus life, NUS University Town, or UTown, is an educational hub with residential spaces, teaching facilities and social spaces for the NUS community to host educational and community activities. Contestants will be allocated a single room in one of the five residential colleges in UTown.
A standard room in UTown Residential Colleges is furnished with a single bed, ceiling fan, writing desk and chair, bookshelf, wardrobe and a mobile pedestal. Shower and toilet facilities are located along the common corridors.
KENT VALE APARTMENTS
Located right next to the NUS Kent Ridge campus, Kent Vale offers furnished one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments. Each apartment comes with separate bedroom(s), living and dining areas, as well as a well-equipped kitchen.
Primary guests will be allocated a bedroom in either an one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or three-bedroom apartment. Guests with an accompanying secondary guest will share a room together.
PRINCE GEORGE'S PARK RESIDENCES
Prince George’s Park Residences (PGPR) is a student housing estate with apartment-style living arrangements catered for NUS students and staff. The estate is located on the eastern end of the Kent Ridge campus and is within close proximity to Kent Ridge MRT station. Team leaders will be allocated a standard single room in PGPR.
A standard room in PGPR is furnished with a single bed, ceiling fan, writing desk and chair, bookshelf, wardrobe and a mobile pedestal. The room comes with air conditioning and an attached bathroom for comfort and convenience.
